
First-time college applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Apply for admission to a degree program and be selected for consideration by the
Admissions Office.
- Be a New York State resident.
- Hold a high school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED), Armed Forces
Equivalency Diploma, etc.
- If selected, attend an information session.
- Meet income eligibility guidelines based on household income.

*Add $7,326 for each family member in excess of 8.
The applicant will automatically meet economic eligibility if :
- The student is living with foster parents who do not provide support for college, and no
monies are provided by the natural parents, or;
- The student is a ward of the state or county.
Documentation will be required.
In order to receive financial aid, a student must be a U.S. Citizen or a Permanent Resident.
