To be eligible for CSTEP at NYU, a first-time college applicant must meet the following requirements:

• Apply for admission to a degree program and be selected for consideration by the
  Admissions office.
• Be a New York State resident.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. 
• Be inclined to pursue a career in a NY State Licensed Profession or STEM (Science,
  Technology, Engineering, Math) profession.
• Be of African American, Latino, Native American, Alaskan descent.

OR be economically disadvantaged according to state guidelines - Scholarship aid is limited.

• Attend an information luncheon.

In order to receive financial aid, a student must be a U.S. Citizen or a Permanent Resident.
